“I will give you pastors…” Jeremiah 3:15
We often think of a pastor as the “CEO” of the church. God’s idea of
a pastor is that he not only “runs the church,” but he has a three-fold
mission to the flock.
To lead them--which means to model Christ in their walk.
To feed them--which means to help unfold the Word with passion and accuracy.
To protect them--which means to alert the sheep of doctrinal,
demonic or behavioral danger that they may not see taking place in
their lives.
We believe that every sheep needs access to a shepherd. Is that
possible in a growing church? Yes, a pastor can extend that personal
touch by reproducing his heart into caring people in the congregation;
hence, the need for care groups.
Each person is encouraged to
get connected to one of our care groups. You will then be better
positioned to give care and receive care in your time of need. As a
care group member, you will experience the shepherd’s heart of Desert
Reign Assembly in a deeper way. You can experience maximum personal
growth for the glory of God through caring and being cared for.
Desert Reign Assembly of God is a church that believes in care to the point of action!
Care Groups’ Mission
We are committed to seeing each and every member of our congregation
connected in one way or another in order to promote spiritual and
personal growth. We will offer that special one-on-one touch of sincere
care to all those who have a need. Through fellowship, prayer, and
worship, we are able to create a closer bond with one another and
minister as the Lord leads.
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayer.”
